I am a Western Artist living in the the 21st Century, painting the Contemporary American Spirit I believe which makes us great people. I am an aspiring fine artist, educated and skilled in the labors of painting, drawing, pottery, printmaking and photography. My art is created from expressionism which is a subjective art form that distorts reality to produce an emotive effect on the viewer.

Unlike my predecessors in the 20th century, who according to art historians lacked aesthetic quality. I believed that with the use of specific color choices and familar forms, I can creat a mood and feeling that is projected in a painting. Herewath Walden, a German Expressionist artist said “Expressionist art is not an impression from outside but an expression from inside.”

For this artist, I work it all out on canvas and leave it for the viewer to decide for themselves what works for them. I have found something that works for me perfectly and brings me peace of mind, and is the the process of creating artworks. It is not the end result that pleases me, but the road I travel to get there.
